dn/dc instruments for reliable light scattering

PSS instrument for off-line dn/dc determination

The refractive index increment, dn/dc, is an important material specific parameter of a polymer solution and is required for:

  • GPC/SEC-LALLS (Low angle laser light scattering)
  • GPC/SEC-RALLS (Right angle laser light scattering)
  • GPC/SEC-MALLS (Multi angle laser light scattering)
  • Triple detection (Right angle laser light scattering plus viscometry)
  • Triple plus detection (Multi angle laser light scattering plus viscometry)
  • batch static light scattering

The dn/dc can be measured on-line during a GPC/SEC-LS measurement or (more precisily) off-line with a PSS dn/dc detector.

Measurements are easy and fast. dn/dc determination at a single wavelength can be done within 10 minutes.
