Who we are
PSS Polymer Standards Service GmbH (PSS) was founded in 1985 as a highquality chemical manufacturer spin-off from the University of Mainz, Germany. Our high caliber staff is experienced, creative and trained in problem solving.
PSS laboratories are equipped with the most advanced instrumentation and latest methods for polymer synthesis, characterization and method development; so chances are we have seen – and solved – your problem before.
Our close relationship with our customers has helped us to continuously work on the quality of our products and services. Universities, research institutes, petrochemical and pharmaceutical companies in more than 60 countries are using our outstanding services and know-how.

PSS is certified (DIN ISO EN 9001) to produce high quality Reference Polymers, GPC Columns and Software for the characterization of polymers by their molecular weight and their structural characteristics. PSS employs the latest findings in polymer science for the synthesis and characterization of polymers, block copolymers and biopolymers. PSS operates manufacturing facility equipped with a complete state-of-the-art characterization laboratory at the headquarters in Mainz (Germany), fully supporting customers working under stringent requirements i.e., GLP, DIN, ISO certifications.
